Hi Sabine,
Here I am posting the appeal in connection with the March on 10 March - to observe the 50th anniiversary of Tibetan Freedom Struggle. Kindly propagate this to all your friends.
Thank you in anticipation
Love

MARCH FOR TIBET ON MRCH 10
Tibet's day of reckoning is approaching Fast - March 10 2009 marks the 50anniversary of repression and brutal subjugation.
Let all the people of the world remember those who laid down their lives on this day 50 years back in their attempt to beat back the invaders of Tibet.

What China has not realized is that despite the repeated crackdown on Tibetans the Tibetan spirit and their Will could not be subdued by brutal force.
Freedom of Tibet is just not the question for Tibetans alone. It is the universal Question -
Questions that arise are " Will this world allow brutal force to suppress, Truth, Human Rights and Non-violence?
Are we - the people of this so-called free world - to allow Tibet become part of ancient history?
Is it ethical to continue to do business and shake hands with a regime that has no regard for Human Rights, International Ethics. and the UN Charter?
When will all other nations arise and bring China to its senses?.In my opinion it is a sin to do business with China. It is equal to sharing the atrocities, the brutality meted out to the innocent Tibetans. We all are abettors of the heinous crime against Tibetans. We must rise as one and make our Governments act now.
Let there be a loud DEMAND from the people of this world to make China hear clearly.
Let the noise of our protest go round the globe and reverberate in the ears of China's rulers.
Let the noise be heard by all people of this world.
Let the sound of all of us who will march on that day silently be heard around the world.
Let the sound of that silence become deafening noise in the ears of Chinese and all those who remain mute, dumb and blind to the atrocities perpetrated on Tibetans in Tibet
reverberate with the footsteps of millions around the world on silent march. Let that become a tremour in Beijing. March 10th is the date - a date with destiny for Tibet -
a date for China's devolution. The mighty edifice of China's economic and military power is built without the foundation of people's participation.

The march by Billions around the world should shake that edifice. As it happened to the USSR, the Peoples Republic of China too will crumble under its own weight.
Let us hasten that process.
Long Live Tibetan Freedom.

I am the Candle Flame

I am the candle flame for Tibet on high
My country stolen mountains in the sky
Valleys weep your clouds float on by
Freedom taken from me that’s why I cry
Oh mountain trails how I miss your track
My flame burns bright I want you back
Within my soul I yearn my eyes wet
Tibet you were my life ill not forget
Why did you come take my home away?
Even then you didn’t ask I had no say
You stole my heart my spirit all I had
Now here I burn my flame bright but sad
What did I do I ask the question why
For I grow weary to see my land for I die
Here I stand you smile look down on me
Ill fight for you till my death to set you free
So many years i've suffered silent in pain
How I yearn to touch your gentle soil again
To climb to yonder mountain peek above
Once more my spirit to feel of your love

Vigil

Where are you now,
with your palms together,
bowing,
your dark red robes
wrapping the wisdom
of a thousand years,
white knife peaks,
and over six thousand
monasteries?

Your home not your home
and yet your home always,
you wander,
you meditate,
you chant and pray;
you teach, you love,
or you stay
and must keep quiet.

Yet prayer flags still blow
in high Tibetan air,
prayer flags still blow
in the deep dark-eyed hearts
of your people.
There are places
the intruders,
the violators
cannot reach–
places alive with
the smiles and tears
of your lost land.

Red robed ones
with your calm eyes
upon the world,
you who pay homage
to the consciousness
in all things,
you who see far beyond
appearances:
you know past time,
you love past duality,
and yet you cry too.

The mountains of Tibet,
the vast plateaus and
green valleys,
the sky lakes and blue rivers,
the sons and daughters
of this sacred land
know and wait for you,
and for their time
within space and beyond
to be free.
