Please show your solidarity in lighting a candle for Tibet with me, so we may show we have a heart. Living as we do, we often forget that freedom is relative and a precious commodity. It's something we take for granted. Yet, there are so many who would give anything to have even a small taste of it. Oppression has reigned for too long. We can't change the world but uniting one at a time, we can definitely make a difference.

Thank you hugs to you all

Grazie e abrraccioni grandi e forti

Where is justice?

1.2 million Tibetans dead. 125,000 counted in exile by the 1996 census. 2,500 seek asylum every year. Thousands suffer malnutrition, depression, anxiety and persecution syndrome. Thousands never see their home or their families ever again. Thousands die in exile because they never recover. Thousands die because the living conditions in exile aren’t adequate enough.

How many more have to die? How many more need to suffer before something is done? Where is human justice?

I’m not a political pers… Continue

Tell President Obama to stand UP for Tibet!

U.S. President Obama leaves for his first presidential trip to Asia tomorrow and will visit China from November 15th to 18th.

The media is reporting that the Tibet issue is expected to be raised when President Obama meets with Chinese President Hu Jintao. But, we know the Chinese government has been lobbying the Obama administration to keep Tibet and human rights off the agenda.

TAKE ACTION: Please sign the petition to President Obama calling on him to take concrete action to help end China's… Continue

Dear Friends,

It has been a while... Life and living have kept me busy and away from many social networking sites. Yet, nobody is forgotten ...

Many of you I am in touch with through other sites, but for those of you who I am not in touch with (except through here), I will be completely offline until the end of August ... I am going to retreat in a Monastery in Nepal for 5 weeks.

Blessings to all,
Namaste

PASS THE FLAME
UNITE THE WORLD

English version of the official song of Olympic Torch Relay.

Click above - © Song Giannis Kotsiras

The ancient Greeks revered the power and fire. In Greek mythology, the God
Prometheus stole fire from Zeus and gave it to humans. To celebratethe
passing of fire from Prometheus to man, the Greeks would
hold relay races. Athletes would pass a lit torch to one another
until the winner reached the finish line.

ENGLISH LYRICS

"Pass the Flame
Unite the World
It's time to celebrate let our voices be heard
Pass the Flame
Unite the world
Bring us all together
We can grow a forest
On a dried up river bed
We can build a mountain
From a grain sand
Reach out, hold out your hands Reach out, hold out your hands
Pass the Flame
Unite the World
It's time to celebrate let our voices be heard
Pass the Flame
Unite the world
Bring us all together
Pass the Flame Unite the World (x5)
Reach out, hold out your hands Reach out, hold out your hands
Pass the Flame
Unite the world
Pass the Flame
Unite the World (x5)
"...

(lyrics: Lol Creme - "Pass the flame")

I am the Candle Flame

I am the candle flame for Tibet on high
My country stolen mountains in the sky
Valleys weep your clouds float on by
Freedom taken from me that’s why I cry
Oh mountain trails how I miss your track
My flame burns bright I want you back
Within my soul I yearn my eyes wet
Tibet you were my life ill not forget
Why did you come take my home away?
Even then you didn’t ask I had no say
You stole my heart my spirit all I had
Now here I burn my flame bright but sad
What did I do I ask the question why
For I grow weary to see my land for I die
Here I stand you smile look down on me
Ill fight for you till my death to set you free
So many years i've suffered silent in pain
How I yearn to touch your gentle soil again
To climb to yonder mountain peek above
Once more my spirit to feel of your love

Vigil

Where are you now,
with your palms together,
bowing,
your dark red robes
wrapping the wisdom
of a thousand years,
white knife peaks,
and over six thousand
monasteries?

Your home not your home
and yet your home always,
you wander,
you meditate,
you chant and pray;
you teach, you love,
or you stay
and must keep quiet.

Yet prayer flags still blow
in high Tibetan air,
prayer flags still blow
in the deep dark-eyed hearts
of your people.
There are places
the intruders,
the violators
cannot reach–
places alive with
the smiles and tears
of your lost land.

Red robed ones
with your calm eyes
upon the world,
you who pay homage
to the consciousness
in all things,
you who see far beyond
appearances:
you know past time,
you love past duality,
and yet you cry too.

The mountains of Tibet,
the vast plateaus and
green valleys,
the sky lakes and blue rivers,
the sons and daughters
of this sacred land
know and wait for you,
and for their time
within space and beyond
to be free.
