Four Noble Truths:

Dukkha: Suffering is everywhere
Samudaya: There is a cause of suffering, which is attachment or misplaced desire (tanha) rooted in ignorance.
Nirodha: There is an end of suffering, which is Nirvana (the possibility of liberation exists for everyone).
Maggo: There is a path that leads out of suffering, known as the Noble Eightfold Path (right view, right thought, right speech, right conduct, right vocation, right effort, right attention and right concentration).

I will teach you the Truth and the Path leading to the Truth.

One is one’s own refuge, who else could be the refuge? ..The wise man makes an island of himself that no flood can overwhelm.

Never by hatred is hatred appeased, but it is appeased by kindness. This is an eternal truth.

O Brahmana, it is just like a mountain river, flowing far and swift, taking everything along with it; there is no moment, no instant, no second when it stops flowing, but it goes on flowing and continuing. So Brahmana, is human life, like a mountain river.

Wherefore, brethren, thus must ye train yourselves : Liberation of the will through love will develop, we will often practice it, we will make it vehicle and base, take our stand upon it, store it up, thoroughly set it going.

Always be true to Yourself...
Never try to hide who You are...
The only shame is to have a shame...
Always question what other people tell You...
Always stand up for what You believe in...
Never regret the past...It's a waste of time..
There's a reason for everything; every mistake, every moment of weakness, every terrible thing that has happened to You...
Grow from it!
The only way You can ever get the respect of others is when You show them that You respect Yourself...
And most importantly, do Your things and never apologize for being You!!

A human being is a part of a whole,
called by us 'universe',
a part limited in tame and space.
He experiences himself,
his thoughts and feelings
as something separated from the rest...
a kind of optical delusion
of his consciousness.
This delusion is a kind of prison for us,
restricting us to our personal desires
and to affection for a few
people nearest to us.
Our task must be to free ourselves
from this prison by widening our circle of compassion
to embrace all living creatures
and the whole of nature in its beauty.

When you become true to yourself, you can face your fears.

Each of us must learn the journey well, yet it is endless in offering us lessons unending. Each lesson allow us to strengthen ourselves.
However those lessons are not just for us, but indeed, to make and build a better world. In all we do, whatever we do offer everything, with love.
Thank you for your sharing.

Hallo Olli,
hehe kein Problem, das kann ja passieren, ich bin da nicht so empfindlich ;)
Ich wünsche Dir auch ein wunderschönes Wochenende! Klingt gut, was Du vorhast!
Kerstin

Dear Oliver, I know, I just stumbled upon you once and now again.... And (ofcourse in my case as art and anything with beauty inside I love) I took some of your nice pictures.... Can not give you much to choose from in return as I have a new p.c. and not yet my back-up on it. I lost my accents above the numbers: all mixed up, stupid little problem, makes my English read like I cannot do it, but the message is still good: I did already pick the pictures of one of my favorite p.c./painting female artists (furiae is the name she uses and you are the first one ever I tell that!!!) so here she is, looks not very special.... But oh does she have nice paintings.... And to you my love and heart for all that matters.... Blessed be!!! Mirte.

Dear Oliver, just a short stopping by to say, that I saw this page of you (you'll probably have more, but I can't find my way around that easily yet....) and if you like, you can see some Patty Smith video's (2 ) at "my place" as in my page... (excuse me for letting you wait this long and I was just kidding last sentence...) Blessed be and may-be untill next time? Moondeva. (Mirte)

I am the Candle Flame

I am the candle flame for Tibet on high
My country stolen mountains in the sky
Valleys weep your clouds float on by
Freedom taken from me that’s why I cry
Oh mountain trails how I miss your track
My flame burns bright I want you back
Within my soul I yearn my eyes wet
Tibet you were my life ill not forget
Why did you come take my home away?
Even then you didn’t ask I had no say
You stole my heart my spirit all I had
Now here I burn my flame bright but sad
What did I do I ask the question why
For I grow weary to see my land for I die
Here I stand you smile look down on me
Ill fight for you till my death to set you free
So many years i've suffered silent in pain
How I yearn to touch your gentle soil again
To climb to yonder mountain peek above
Once more my spirit to feel of your love

Vigil

Where are you now,
with your palms together,
bowing,
your dark red robes
wrapping the wisdom
of a thousand years,
white knife peaks,
and over six thousand
monasteries?

Your home not your home
and yet your home always,
you wander,
you meditate,
you chant and pray;
you teach, you love,
or you stay
and must keep quiet.

Yet prayer flags still blow
in high Tibetan air,
prayer flags still blow
in the deep dark-eyed hearts
of your people.
There are places
the intruders,
the violators
cannot reach–
places alive with
the smiles and tears
of your lost land.

Red robed ones
with your calm eyes
upon the world,
you who pay homage
to the consciousness
in all things,
you who see far beyond
appearances:
you know past time,
you love past duality,
and yet you cry too.

The mountains of Tibet,
the vast plateaus and
green valleys,
the sky lakes and blue rivers,
the sons and daughters
of this sacred land
know and wait for you,
and for their time
within space and beyond
to be free.
