Terrific Time Last Weekend/This Week

Dear Everyone
I had a terrific time last weekend at my granddad's 90th birthday. He is in good shape for his age except for his eyes. He never complains about his ailments which is amazing to me. I am such a whimp when I am sick. Anyhow I saw a Keb Mo concert which was fabulous and went for a walk in Greenwich the following morning. It was bright, warm and sunny out. The neighborhood has interesting houses from all walks of life, from mansions to more lower class.
I gave my granddad a cd of my m… Continue

Damariscotta Drama Newsletter

Dear Everyone
Last week was great. I celebrated my 6th year of sobriety anniversary both at my home group meeting and also at The Public House with my parents where we listened to live music and ate great food like spicy bbq chicken cajun style. I also had fries and coleslaw. They were delicious. The coleslaw was a nice smooth contrast to the sharp spicy burger. No I didn't get drunk to celebrate even though it was in a bar! I just like bar food.
This weekend I sat outside and read a lot. It was… Continue

Another Successful Week

Dear Everyone
I had a good time working at Bull Moose Music even though at first my job coach was being bossy and not letting me get to the job. She just assumed I had missed it and did it for me which isn't her job. I told and we got along better afterwards. Usually there is no problem. I sold another cd.
Tuesday I met with some friends at The Maine Coast Bookstore and Cafe which is a friendly local hang out. I had a coke then bought some more at Maritime Farms. We had a good time at their hous… Continue

Week/Internet Show This Monday

Dear Everyone
I've been avoiding doing blogs for a while because it takes a while to copy and paste them on five pages of networks. Here's what I've been up to recently. I've been working at Bull Moose two mondays a moth, and bought three DVDs this month because of a bonus check and also I get 10% from my pay check. I bought Residency, a Smashing Pumpkins documentary and concert; it's very good but I haven't watched all of it. I bought Rush, Snakes and Arrows concert live which is awesome. I lov… Continue

Inspirational Week

Dear Everyone
On Monday I played guitar with my friend Liz and composed two new songs on guitar. I worked on a new piano song this week as well, and came up with some new ideas at my piano lesson. I even wrote a poem for Writer's Cafe, plus am working on two and half other poems! The other activities I did were pimp my networks and groups. On the new moon I performed a new moon ceremony online with my friend. It was fun and powerful.

I am the Candle Flame

I am the candle flame for Tibet on high
My country stolen mountains in the sky
Valleys weep your clouds float on by
Freedom taken from me that’s why I cry
Oh mountain trails how I miss your track
My flame burns bright I want you back
Within my soul I yearn my eyes wet
Tibet you were my life ill not forget
Why did you come take my home away?
Even then you didn’t ask I had no say
You stole my heart my spirit all I had
Now here I burn my flame bright but sad
What did I do I ask the question why
For I grow weary to see my land for I die
Here I stand you smile look down on me
Ill fight for you till my death to set you free
So many years i've suffered silent in pain
How I yearn to touch your gentle soil again
To climb to yonder mountain peek above
Once more my spirit to feel of your love

Vigil

Where are you now,
with your palms together,
bowing,
your dark red robes
wrapping the wisdom
of a thousand years,
white knife peaks,
and over six thousand
monasteries?

Your home not your home
and yet your home always,
you wander,
you meditate,
you chant and pray;
you teach, you love,
or you stay
and must keep quiet.

Yet prayer flags still blow
in high Tibetan air,
prayer flags still blow
in the deep dark-eyed hearts
of your people.
There are places
the intruders,
the violators
cannot reach–
places alive with
the smiles and tears
of your lost land.

Red robed ones
with your calm eyes
upon the world,
you who pay homage
to the consciousness
in all things,
you who see far beyond
appearances:
you know past time,
you love past duality,
and yet you cry too.

The mountains of Tibet,
the vast plateaus and
green valleys,
the sky lakes and blue rivers,
the sons and daughters
of this sacred land
know and wait for you,
and for their time
within space and beyond
to be free.
