About Me
I believe that every living being should have the right to follow their beliefs, maintain their culture and enjoy freedom of speech. Today this is generally accepted as the norm. Yet, how true is this belief in many areas of the world.

Sadly, for many people these things which we consider our rights are unheard of; because they have never known them... or if they know them they are unable or afraid to practice them.....

Tibet you have been a prisoner for too long.. .

My candle burns for you constantly.

My Tibet
Is in my heart and mind.

Thank you CaroleAnne,
Thanks you for your poem. I is to the point and touching. May Tibet be recognized and be in the hearts of many many people. May the work of Dalai Lama make progress for Tibet and all. Jo Ann

Why are we so Silent ??

Self determination, travel, freedom of speech
Basic Human Rights are only in dreams
Movement is regulated, denied, out of reach
Living in fear of Chinas harsh policies - in the land of Tibet

Political prisoners, beatings, torture, execution
Detained without trial for up to four years
Re-education by labour is considered a solution
Civil and cultural rights denied - in the land of Tibet

Control, exploitation and assimilation
Brutal repression and degradation
Ring out the death knell of a peaceful nation
Deny unrest, censor news to the west - in the land of Tibet

Tibet..so precious, unique, a spiritual part of our world
Where instead of vehicles wheels generate prayers
And wind horses flap, flap, flying with their flags unfurled
A precious treasury of compassion lives - in the land of Tibet

Ignore Chinese propaganda, it’s easy to see what is, so real
Press China for a resolution, the Middle Way to get
Listen to his Holiness the Dalai Lama, feel what the Tibetans feel
And may freedom and joy come soon - to the beautiful Land of Tibet !

May no others suffer like this...

I am the Candle Flame

I am the candle flame for Tibet on high
My country stolen mountains in the sky
Valleys weep your clouds float on by
Freedom taken from me that’s why I cry
Oh mountain trails how I miss your track
My flame burns bright I want you back
Within my soul I yearn my eyes wet
Tibet you were my life ill not forget
Why did you come take my home away?
Even then you didn’t ask I had no say
You stole my heart my spirit all I had
Now here I burn my flame bright but sad
What did I do I ask the question why
For I grow weary to see my land for I die
Here I stand you smile look down on me
Ill fight for you till my death to set you free
So many years i've suffered silent in pain
How I yearn to touch your gentle soil again
To climb to yonder mountain peek above
Once more my spirit to feel of your love

Vigil

Where are you now,
with your palms together,
bowing,
your dark red robes
wrapping the wisdom
of a thousand years,
white knife peaks,
and over six thousand
monasteries?

Your home not your home
and yet your home always,
you wander,
you meditate,
you chant and pray;
you teach, you love,
or you stay
and must keep quiet.

Yet prayer flags still blow
in high Tibetan air,
prayer flags still blow
in the deep dark-eyed hearts
of your people.
There are places
the intruders,
the violators
cannot reach–
places alive with
the smiles and tears
of your lost land.

Red robed ones
with your calm eyes
upon the world,
you who pay homage
to the consciousness
in all things,
you who see far beyond
appearances:
you know past time,
you love past duality,
and yet you cry too.

The mountains of Tibet,
the vast plateaus and
green valleys,
the sky lakes and blue rivers,
the sons and daughters
of this sacred land
know and wait for you,
and for their time
within space and beyond
to be free.
