STOP THE WAR - RESPECT THE GAMES

Send home the olympic troup of Republic of Georgia.

While we are trying to rise our voice about human rights, the super powers are palying with our nerves!

1830 innocent people are dead in 3 days! Hundreads of thousands are homeless and a hospital bombed.

Make no mistake about it. The conflict between Georgia and its secessionist region of South Ossetia is really a war between Georgia and Russia, and by extension, a war between Russia and the United States. Tensions have been building for some time now, and frequent skirmishes have erupted in the past. But it now appears that the minor skirmishes have erupted into full-blown combat, and the fighting could spread.

The core of the problem is Georgia’s desire for membership in NATO, and Russia’s opposition to that membership. As the point nears where Georgia’s membership in the defense alliance will be decided, tensions have been heating up. Now it is being reported that the conflict has expanded beyond the Georgians and the South Ossetians, if not in territory at least in personnel, and that it is the Russians that are now involved.

It is time to realize that the wars anywhere in the world are an expression of the wars within ourselves. There is only one REAL Power in this world and it is the Creator, the LIght, ALlah, name it what you like. And we need to pray to this power to correct our terrible egoism in us that creates all those catastrophies from Tsunamies to wars to cruelty etc. Only HE can correct us as He created us. Once we realize that, the world will become a better place. So bad! There is no respect to anything. Honestly I was expecting a war . I thought there was risk a war to begin in China. Latest news say 1900 South Osetia citizens are killed by Georgian army. There live also 60.000 Russians there and 8.000 Greeks. There is risk for bigger war! Oil interests both for USA and Russia.

Georgia is making a genocide right now. I condemn them for that.

I have both Georgia and Osetia friends who live next to me here in Greece. Both sides are against this war. These people lived together for thousands of years.

I hope Georgia redraws from this war otherwise NATO must send troups. They have 2000 soldiers in Afghanistan and 3000 in IRAQ. If they redraw their troups from NATO then USA will get involved in this war.

I hope they use their brains and sense to stop this war as soon as possible.

If Georgia had joined NATO in April. Today this would mean a direct war between Russia and NATO (USA).

Georgia want now to stop this war. Russia got involved and they have sent troups to the area.
There is a tough war there. Ukraine supoports Georgia by selling weapons to them.
Ukraine was the second country that did not get acceptance to join NATO after famous NO from Putin in April.

OFFICIAL ANNOUNSEMENT
From Ministry of Defense Rep. Georgia

Georgia redrew all their forces from South Osetia. Gerogia corrected also that Russia did not bomb the Airport of Tbilissi but a smaller military air port close to the airport of Tbilissi as a warning. Now we are waiting for a confirmation from Russia that this announsement is real. In wars many things are announsed but less is true. I hope this was a true announsement.
